THE ASSOCIATION’S BULLETIN X: July

This bulletin's highlights

Next week's Kickstarter and a coloring contest!

cover concept by Valentine

Greetings fellow travelers,

Another busy month with some good and some bad stuff. Don't

want to get into the bad stuff just yet, for it might have a good ending. We'll have to see.

As for the good.

FIRST! Do you like coloring? GREAT! For we have a coloring contest!

Visit www.associationofishtar.com/contest for the rules and conditions for submission and download the images. Please tell your friends!

I continued work on the audiobook for the Wrench in the Machine. I try to dedicate half an hour a day to it to get it done.

Work on editing Bound for the Styx is progressing, be it slowly. But my editor was sure it would be done for those who pre-order the digital edition for the upcoming Kickstarter next week. Yes, NEXT WEEK, August 4th. Here is the launch trailer :)

The Kickstarter is nearly upon us, and I am very nervous. The fear of being disappointed is real. It's one of the reasons I stayed away from Kickstarter as long as I did.

Publishing The Wrench in the Machine has been my first successful endeavor of turning my work into a financial success allowing me to take on bigger and more ambitious projects. Even a short comic like S-36: The Call girl set me back about 1500 dollars. Don't get me wrong, it's not about money. It's about optimizing a creative drive while, in my opinion, giving Steampunk a necessary injection of innovation it sorely needs. I also hope it will attract more aspiring writers to contribute their time to writing stories for this shared universe.

During each event I attend with my books, people ask if there is going to be an RPG or some other media. Folk, I really, really want to. I have artists who want to help me, including illustrators, musicians, game developers, etc. But they can't work for free. And quite frankly, I'm getting tired of doing it myself. But if you want to be involved to any degree, please join our discord and contact me there.

I hope trying my luck on Kickstarter will turn this around. But I'll need your help. Please share the links around. At the end of the day, maybe people will not have read the Association of Ishtar, they will know its name (evil laughter). If you want to support the Kickstarter itself but can't afford the current Tiers, pledging a single dollar make you a backer boosting the project in the algorithms. Alexander Yohan and I are planning an art stream on 3 PM CET.

Nearly forgot, our new series Anwin! is progressing well, and will include new art by Yohan Alexander. We are doing our best to design a style truthful to the style of 19th-century dime novels.

Haven't read our new series yet, check out part 1 here.

And with that I'll end this bulletin. Suffice to say, I'll hope you'll support this project so we can reach a greater audiance.
