New Steampunk Streaming Service?

Steampunk would take a serious hit for the COVID measures. No events means less exposure. For that reason I noticed a serious drop in views on our Youtube channel Radio Retrofuture. But now the events are starting again, views are and subscriptions are increasing again.

With this dip in interest during that period, what I didn't expect was somebody starting a new Streaming service. A steampunk streaming service called 'Subgenres'. Ok... Will we apply for this service? Not sure yet. Uncertain what we have to offer to this channel. But I have reached out Klassen. So to be continued?

An incredible worldwide opportunity comes from the great white North of Canada. Subgenres, a streaming TV service through Roku goes on air October 1st. There is the potential to attract 50 million viewers worldwide through this new steampunk channel! Subgenres will also be available on YouTube, and their website, Subgenres.net

Subgenres is the creation of longtime steampunk author, actress, and producer/director, Natasha Klassen.

Natasha started Subgenres as a website a few years ago, and with a background in television and media, is bringing the Subgenres concept to a streaming service.

Klassens tells the Journal, “We understand the many creatives have produced content for YouTube and may not have the traditional length of videos for television. This is fine with us, we won’t turn away great content if it is not traditional television show length.”

A full line up is in the works. “We accept music videos, concerts, pilots, short films, feature films, television series, and we are also accepting news tips/information, festival/con/event information for our weekly news report The Monocle that will be broadcast every Monday evening. All submissions for our news report must be in by Sunday 9pm.”

Subgenres is looking for content. Submissions shoul[d] be sent to: KrakenRUs2020@gmail.com

As long as the content meet these criteria, submissions will be considered: No Modern Politics All content must meet Television Broadcast Copyright No Pornography
