people affiliated with the Nimrod Project or Special Committee Kynjaspernur.

P-08 is being contained at Containment Facility 5, which is under the direct jurisdiction of Ra, and off-limits to all non-essential personnel and civilians. The surrounding area is patrolled by two sloops of a special security detail ‘Special Committee Kynjaspernur’ who are instructed to shoot any trespassing vessels on sight.
Any Associate assigned to Plane 8, code-named Titan, is to follow the decontamination procedures, as listed in document P8-14. Failure to comply can lead to arrest or termination. The purpose of Containment Facility 5 is Top Secret. The cover story is that the dome contains extremely dangerous substances spilled by a Napoleonic shipwreck. Preventing damage from being done is a top priority. In case a breach is deemed inevitable, a rigged cluster of C-06 is to be detonated to prevent the spread of P-08.

Description

P-08, or Red Coral, is a lifeform similar to our native Hermatypic Coral. Like Hermatypic Coral it builds reefs for itself by depositing hard calcareous material from their skeletons, forming the stony framework on which it can grow. This ‘reef’ consists mostly of salts, acids, and carbon-based compounds that are absorbed from the ground.
Unlike coral, it has roots that burrow itself through most surfaces. Above the surface, P-08 looks like long tubular strands of stony coral that end in a leaf like-shape. As P-08 develops, the tubes continue to grow new ‘leafs’, creating a scaly row of fins. There doesn’t seem to be a limit to how much P-08 can develop. As long it can absorb minerals from either the water or soil, it continues to grow, something to mountainous size.
Meanwhile, the salts dissolve in the surrounding water, increasing its salinity drastically. The impact of P-08 on the ecosystem can not be understated and the increased salt levels have proved fatal to most aquamarine life in the seas and oceans of Titan.

Discovery

P-08 was discovered on a small barren island in the North Atlantic, just north of the Faroe Islands, within an autonomous region within the Kingdom of Denmark.
According to the Danish coast guard, P-08 had appeared seemingly overnight and expanded at an alarming rate; doubling its initial biomass within two weeks.
Biologists investigated the unidentified lifeform and determined it didn’t fit any of the Linnaean classifications, determining it was alien in origin. Associates were dispatched to investigate the island and found an anomaly, designated Rift 08.

Containment

Outside of Containment Facility 5, Special Committee Kynjaspernur is treating the infected area with vinegar to prevent further spreading. Neutralized examples of P-08 are then destroyed flaming equipment.

The water is blood red like a river after a mudslide! Oh, my God, looking at it gives me vertigo…. It’s a spikey reef the size of the Himalayas, with tendrils growing out of them. Oh, F- Uh, it's making me see things too. Wait, let me get my spyglass out… Uhm, nope that is a flying bo-“

Practical applications of P-08

During subsequent expeditions into Plane 8, Associates discovered this world’s denizens found a practical application for the Red-Coral. But due to the threat P-08 poses, general use is undesirable.

A letter regarding the use of Red Coral and the development of grav-ships.

“Esteemed members of the Convention on Rift Related Activities,

We have discovered a threat just of the coast of Iceland, designated by The Association of Ishtar as Phenomenon 8. P-08 is a lifeform able to procreate itself across the globe, like observers have verified after their brief expedition to Plane 8. Further investigations have verified that P-08 has consumed every sea and ocean on that Plane and we are confident it will do the same to ours, if not contained. The inhabitants of Plane 8 struggle on a daily basis to prevent it from consuming their rivers and reservoirs, which would be our fate if we let Red Coral be cultivated anywhere. A failure to contain Rift 8 could lead to a global ecological disaster from which nature would not be able to recover.
Furthermore, due to its magnetic properties, any form of wireless communication across the affected areas is nearly impossible.
According to the current procedure, the island’s soil, on which Rift 08 is located, needs to be scorched weekly to prevent P-08’s spread. The Danish authorities intend to build a lighthouse to garrison the personnel assigned to this task.

The news, however, is not all terrible. There is an opportunity. All of the parties present have probably heard of the sightings of flying ships on Plane 8. I’ll confirm in this letter, this to be true.
The amount of Bismuth within the Red Coral’s polyps, allowed the denizens of Plane 8 to develop, and build, anti-grav ships. We have obtained blueprints for such vessels, and the formula of the solution used to create levitation.
One does not need a lot of imagination to foresee the possibilities of this technology. However, it is the Red Coral, that is the essential component for the solution to work. Large scale production of such vessels would not only change our way of life. It would put the world in great peril.
That being said, we have discovered threats that are as dangerous. Hostile forces and entities for which he has yet to devise countermeasures. The lack of mobility of our armed forces is one of the major obstacles regarding the development of an effective stratagem.
Do we have the luxury to ignore its potential? That is the question I pose to this convention. And more importantly, how do we ensure this potential is employed for the benefit of all, and not for the sake of empires?
